District Umpire Notice
Little League Baseball and Softball umpires are in final preparation for All Star games for the 2010 season in District 9. Local Leagues begin All Star Tournaments on June 22, 2010.
Make sure you let your local Little League's know your availability to officiate games during the All Star season.
We look forward to seeing everyone on the field during the next month.
World Series and Southeastern Region Appointments
Please join the District 9 UIC and Administrator in congratulating Sidney Whitman on his appointment to the Little League Softball World Series in Portland Oregon. This continues a rich history of District 9 Umpires attending both Baseball and Softball World Series though out the United States.
In addition the District would also like to recognize the Southeastern Region appointments.
Dalton Banks has been selected to be part of the Senior Softball Regional in Lady Smith, Virginia.
Wayne Kardel will participate in the Senior Baseball Regional.
Bill Hobbs will participate in the East European Regional in Germany.
There have also been many District 9 Umpires who have officiated Little League Southeastern Region Championship games in the past.
Local Umpire Clinic
There have been 2 umpire clinics held in April 2010. We appreciate the people who attended and look forward to seeing more people at future clinics. Come back to this site to see when the next clinics are scheduled.
Southeastern Region Umpire Clinic
If you are interested in improving your umpire skills you should attend a Southeastern Region Clinic. This Umpire Clinic will be hosted for the first time at the new Little League Southeastern Regional Headquarters in Warner Robbins Georgia.
There are no new clinics scheduled at this time. Please check back for future information.

Tournament Resources and Schedules
The District 9 Umpire Association will be looking for members to help fill positions for the upcoming Lee County Little League Tournaments. Each year we help the hosting leagues find umpires to support the Tournament. Keep these dates in mind and leave your schedule open. We look forward to seeing you on a field.
