This site is primarily devoted to Little League umpires and umpiring, both for baseball and softball. If you are looking for the main web site for District 9 itself, you will find it at http://www.fld9.com/.
The umpires in this Little League District of Southwest Florida server the communities of Fort Myers, Cape Coral, North Fort Myers, Port Charlotte, Pine Island, Punta Gorda and Arcadia.
New District 9 Umpire Meeting and Clinic

The District is ready for the 2014 Little League Fall Ball Season.
Are you interested in becoming a Little League Umpire? Please come to our meeting the third Sunday of each month at 6:00 PM. You will have a different view of the game we all enjoy. It does not matter if you are a dad, mom, brother, sister or even a coach you are always welcome on the field to umpire.
The District 9 Umpire Association meeting is held at the Fort Myers Little League meeting room. The field is located at 1750 Mathews Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33907-1208. The field is near Colonial Blvd. and US-41/Cleveland Ave. in Fort Myers.
We look forward to seeing you at the next meeting on Sunday, November 17, 2013 at 6:00 PM.
If you plan to umpire All Star games you need to attend one Tournament Umpire Clinic.
Future meetings will be held on the following dates:
Monthly Meeting - December, 2013 - Enjoy the Holidays
All Little Leagues will start All Star tournaments in June. You can start helping umpire any time during the year.

Mert Leeman – Florida Mert received the 2010 Little League Baseball and Softball Meritorious Service Award for the Southeastern Region for his 25 years in Little League, 12 years as a DA. Mert currently serves as the President of the State of Florida DA Association.
